Third India -Nepal Cultural Festival
The third India -Nepal Cultural Festival in Lumbini was jointly inaugurated by Hon’ble Mr. Krishna Bahadur Gharti Magar, Governor of Lumbini Province; Mr. Munu Mahawar, Additional Secretary (North), Ministry of External Affairs, GoI; Dr. Lharkyal Lama, Vice Chairman of Lumbini Development Trust; and DCM @IndiaInNepal Dr. Rakesh Pandey.
The highlight of the event was a mesmerizing Buddhist-themed Odissi dance performance by a six-member troupe from India , supported by Indian Council For Cultural Relations, and a traditional musical performance by a Nepal band 'Ghugu Mugu'.
The event was jointly organised by @IndiaInNepal and Lumbini Development Trust.
As a part of this festival, an academic seminar titled "India-Nepal Buddhist Heritage: A Common Legacy" was also organized at Lumbini Buddhist University. The seminar brought together eminent Buddhist scholars from India and Nepal who shared their valuable insights on the cultural and historical significance of Buddhist heritage in both countries.
